Marhoom Zubair Haji is the founder of Madrasa Al Jamiathul Kauzariyya. He had a close relationship with Maulana Moosa, former leader of thableeg jamath in Kerala. After a four months travel through Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Macca and Madina in the path of Allah, he wished to see his son Uvais as hafizul Quran. Then he decided to send him to Madrasa Sabeelu Rashad, Bangalore, because the memorization of Quran was not popular in Kerala at that time. He visited Madrasa Sabeel-u-Rashad for the admission procedures of his son and on seeing the discipline and lifestyle of students in the Islamic environment, he started to think about the need of such a Madrasa in Kerala. He was also the Managing Director of footwear company “Mayfield” in Ernakulam. Along with the encouragement of Maulana Moosa, he bought some land in Edathala near Aluva town.
